I'm getting behind in my posts due to lack of internet in remote locations. I'm back in Arusha now, so I'm trying to get back in sync. A couple days ago, I was at Lake Manyara. It's an attractive park with varied habitats. It has a very nice old growth rain forest, a flat plain with lots of Acacia trees, a grassy savannah that separates the Acacias from the fluctuating lakeshore and a tall escarpment along the north. This leads to a lot of different types of things to shoot. In the forest there are lots of Blue and Vervet Monkeys as well as abundant Baboons. There is also a herd of Elephants that inhabit the forested area. The more open areas have Zebra, Giraffe and Wildebeest. The lake has Flamingos. I shot a lot of video and not too much still, but I did have good clouds so I shot some scenics.
This is a Klipspringer, they can be a little difficult to shoot because they are so shy, but this one stood and posed for a long time:

There are lots of Acacias at the fringe of the forest, sort of a buffer between the thick jungle and the plains:

A tall escarpment backs the park forming a natural boundary on one side:

Lake Manyara has quite a few Flamingos that feed on Algae in the shallows:
